AMG Poker - , Jakarta - Kabar tentang seorang ibu yang melahirkan 18 anak kembar viral di media sosial. Kabar ini diunggah oleh akun facebook bernama Ustaz Abdul Somad Batubara pada Minggu 9 Juni 2019.

Akun ini mengunggah sebuah gambar yang memperlihatkan seorang ibu yang tengah hamil tua. Jika dilihat, perut ibu itu tampak lebih besar dibandingkan dengan ibu yang hamil tua lainnya.

Pada gambar selanjutnya, tampak sejumlah seorang laki-laki yang duduk di atas sofa dan dikelilingi beberapa bayi.

Akun facebook Ustaz Abdul Somad Batubara kemudian mengaitkan gambar tersebut dengan kabar seorang ibu yang melahirkan 18 bayi kembar.

Konten yang diunggah akun facebook Ustaz Abdul Somad Batubara telah 52 ribu kali dibagikan dan mendapat 2.200 komentar warganet.

Setelah ditelusuri, kabar tentang seorang ibu yang melahirkan 18 bayi kembar ternyata tidak benar.

An unbelievable story claiming that a woman in the United States gave birth to 17 identical boys in a single pregnancy is doing the rounds on social media. The viral post has three images and a story written to it. One of the photos shows a woman with an abnormally swollen belly, and the other two show many babies the third one features a man too.

The post, put up by Facebook user Richard Camarinta Dy, says that one Catherine Bridge holds the World Record for delivering the most babies in one pregnancy.

India Today’s Anti Fake News War Room (AFWA) found that the whole story is cooked up. The viral post was created from a fictional article written by World News Daily Report, a satirical website.

The viral post was shared by Richard Camarinta Dy on May 30. It has already been shared by more than 33,000 users at the time of filing this story.

In the post, Richard Camarinta Dy also shared the article link from a website called Women Daily Magazine, which describes the same story.

But it is clearly mentioned in the article that the viral story is fictional, taken from another article in a website called World News Daily Report’.

World News Daily Report is a satirical fake news website which publishes cooked-up stories for fun.

We also found that the pictures attached with the viral post are misleading. The one in which the pregnant lady can be seen with a swollen belly is morphed.
Another photo which shows a man with more than 17 babies is at least seven years old. The man in the photo is US-based obstetrician and gynecologist Robert M Biter who used this image as the cover photo on his Facebook profile.

We did find some media reports according to which there was one case in USA in which a woman gave birth to eight children in a single pregnancy.

India Today couldn’t find any incident in which a lady delivered 17 children in a single pregnancy.
Other fact check portals such as Snopes and HOAX OR FACT also debunked the claim.

Dalam artikel tersebut dijelaskan, foto dan kisah serupa juga muncul di Amerika Serikat. Konon, perempuan bernama Catherine Bridge melahirkan 17 anak kembar -- bukan 18 seperti yang viral di Indonesia.
Foto seorang perempuan dengan perut luar biasa besar bukan foto sebenarnya. Sementara, gambar seorang pria dengan 17 bayi adalah dokter kandungan asal AS, Robert M Biter, yang dipasang di profil Facebooknya.
